La presente investigación versa sobre la inclusión de los jóvenes discapacitados en una universidad del estado de Yucatán, analizando la problemática a la que se enfrentan y que tienen que superar para poder acceder a sus estudios universitarios, se presentan estadísticas sobre las personas con discapacidad que se tienen en México y en el estado, se abordan los elementos que señalan los expertos debe disponer un sistema educativo para promover la inclusión de los discapacitados, los cuales son claves para que personas con discapacidad puedan acceder a la educación pública y poder concluir una carrera universitaria. Se emiten recomendaciones que pueden implementarse para que los alumnos discapacitados logren adquirir los conocimientos del programa académico, desde la perspectiva de que todos se pueden comprometer a crear un mejor presente. En la medida en que la sociedad se centre en las capacidades de las personas más que en las discapacidades, se tendrán mejores oportunidades de transformar el presente. Hay que recordar que todos tienen el derecho a acceder a una educación de calidad, por lo que es importante sensibilizarse en este tema para poder involucrarse en una solución de fondo.

Abstract
This research deals with the inclusion of young people with disabilities in a university in the state of Yucatan, analyzing the problems they face and that they have to overcome in order to access their university studies, statistics are presented on people with disabilities who are have in Mexico and in the state, the elements indicated by the experts must have an educational system to promote the inclusion of the disabled, which are key so that people with disabilities can access public education and be able to complete a university degree . Recommendations are issued that can be implemented so that disabled students can acquire the knowledge of the academic program, from the perspective that everyone can commit to creating a better present. To the extent that society focuses on people’s abilities rather than disabilities, there will be better opportunities to transform the present. It must be remembered that everyone has the right to access a quality education, so it is important to become aware of this issue in order to be able to get involved in a fundamental solution.
