Este trabajo forma parte de un estudio mayor cuyo objetivo es determinar los principales factores asociados a la repitencia de los alumnos del nivel primario en la provincia de Corrientes (Argentina). En esta primera instancia, se parte de fuentes secundarias con el objetivo de describir la repitencia en dicho nivel educativo a partir de indicadores cuantitativos nacionales y provinciales. Para ello se consultan el relevamiento anual y la normativa vigente para el nivel.
Se observa que los recorridos de los alumnos por el sistema educativo no necesariamente están signados por la normativa que propone la promoción efectiva en los primeros grados (lo que se denomina unidad pedagógica) y la promoción acompañada, si no por prácticas habituales e instaladas en las instituciones referentes a los requisitos necesarios para la promoción de grado que figuran en el régimen de evaluación.
La repitencia se encuentra con una tendencia creciente en la provincia de Corrientes, lo que deja en la superficie el planteamiento de preguntas y el necesario diseño de medidas sistémicas de prevención y apoyo.

ABSTRACT
This work is part of a larger study whose objective is to determine the main factors associated with the repetition of primary school students in the province of Corrientes (Argentina). In this first instance, we start from secondary sources with the objective of describing the repetition in said educational level based on national and provincial quantitative indicators. To do this, the annual survey and current regulations for the level are consulted.
It is observed that the routes of the students through the educational system are not necessarily marked by the regulations proposed by the effective promotion in the first grades (what is called pedagogical unit) and the accompanying promotion, if not by usual practices and installed in the institutions concerning the requirements necessary for the promotion of degree that appear in the evaluation regime.
The repetition is with a growing trend in the province of Corrientes, which leaves on the surface the questioning and the necessary design of systemic measures of prevention and support.
